PREPARATION FOR THE JOURNEY

JESUS IYE! JESUS IYE! YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!
We are in the epicenter of a revival as the body of Christ, and we have witnessing the awakening of the Children of God all around the world. It is genuinely such a beautiful scenary to witness the move of God as it is happening right now among us, and it is clear that the Lord is drawing people to himself and he is also allowing unique encounters of his presence among his very own, that he has drawn to himself. The move of God is too clear for us to ignore it or be complacent about it, so what does this mean for the born again believer? - are there special instructions at the moment- . Where do we move from here? -is God directing us somewhere-. Does anything really change when it comes to this - is my salvation affected - ? Well, let us get into it and see what this journey of preparation in God looks like, especially at such a time as this.

One of the markers of the move of God as demonstrated in various times and season through his word is his power through the Holy Spirit - him being made manifest amongst men - and through his word. The preparation that God sets for us as we enter into such sensitive moments is usually the place of communion - intimacy - with him. You see, outside of the place of communion with God we do not get the priviledge of seeing and understanding what God is doing in a particular season. That is why you will find, that even in the midst of the revival, inasmuch as we have the word of God released upon the people of God - prophetically so -, and a sort of rekindling of some sorts in the hearts of the children of God, most will find themselves drawn to a place of isolation, in preparation for what God is doing. But why this sort of isolation? Does God not want to use us in this move? Well, that's not really the case.

¹⁵Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. Esther 2:15 (NLT)

If we are to look back at the story of a person like Queen Esther, we get to see the process she went through, before being crowned as the Queen. Esther went through preparation and training, just as the other women did. The distinguishing factor when it came to Esther was the grace - favour - she obtained from the people around her, and more so, before the King, because this literally shifted the entire trajectory of her destiny, as she was crowned to be Queen instead of Vashti. So you see, there is what was taught to Esther by Hegai, that prepared her when it came to how she was to present herself before the King, so how much more this Kingdom of God? In 1 Corinthians 4:20, the word of God says that, For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power., and this power is literally the Holy Spirit. And how do we get to experience of the Holy Spirit of God? Simple, communion - intimacy - with God. We must value this secret place with God and seek out his word, and through this we will not only hear him, but understand most of what he is instructing of us.

Therefore, child of God. The preparation for the journey ahead is not just in hype and emotion and positive declaration/affirmation, it is all in the place of intimacy where God - our Father - prepares us. That is where we get to (as a lovely person once told me), stand bare/naked before God - this symbolizing vulnerability before God -, and allow him to see all of us, and address various issues in our lives. Because if there is a lesson I have learnt the hard way friends, is that God does not play about his business, and there is excellence to his dealings, strategy, plans and a demand for an understanding for the assignments he gives unto us. Therefore, we cannot fumble the cause of the Kingdom by being careless in our approach to the business of God. Honour that place of fellowship with God, surround yourself with community and be vigilant. If you commit as much as you do, toward the job that pays you, how much more toward your Father's business in this very Kingdom his that he has availed to you through salvation in Jesus Christ? Think about it.
